description du projet

Aéroports de Montréal (AdM) manages a fleet of heavy vehicles to remove snow from the airport runways at the Pierre-Eliott-Trudeau and Mirabel airports. To reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from this fleet, AdM wanted to propose a project to preheat the engines and cabins of its vehicles. This would decrease diesel fuel consumption while vehicles are idling, thereby reducing GHG emissions.

faits saillants

Under this anti-idling devices installation project, AdM mandated Econoler to assess it for eligibility to various existing financial assistance programs. Econoler carried out the following tasks:

  • Identified the financial aid programs for which the project was eligible;
  • Issued recommendations on whether to apply to the programs or not;
  • Evaluated the amount of financial assistance AdM could obtain from the programs.

At the end of the mandate, Econoler submitted to AdM a summary document that outlined an analysis of three provincial programs. The in-depth analyses of eligibility criteria did not allow Econoler to recommend that AdM submit financial assistance requests. The work of Econoler allowed AdM to ensure that all financial aid possibilities were analyzed and none had been omitted or forgotten.
